In software engineering, a Windows application
is an EXE file for DOS and Windows systems. An EXE file is an executable file, which
is a file in a format that the computer can directly execute and are not easily
read by humans. That said, KitSolutions do not generally
write their applications in what would be considered machine code.
KitSolutions use C# (pronounced C sharp) which is an Object-Oriented
programming language developed by Microsoft as part of the .NET initiative and later
approved as a standard by the ECMA. This enables Windows applications to be
built based on real world objects and their interactions between one another.
KitSolutions also follow both the Structured Systems Analysis
and Designs Method (SSADM) which is a systems approach to the analysis
and design of information systems and the Rapid Application Development Method which
involves iterative development and the construction of prototypes.
SSADM is a waterfall method by which an information system design can be arrived
at; SSADM can be thought to represent a pinnacle of the rigorous document-led approach
to system design, and contrasts with more contemporary Rapid Application Development
methods such as DSDM which allows quality products to be developed faster saving
valuable resources..
